Frequently asked questions

Pick a city and a category on the home page, or search for a company by name. Each listing shows what the company does, where it is and how to contact it.

The design (photo, sketch or sample), fabric, quantity per size, logo and where to place it, and your deadline. The more precise the request, the sooner you get a price.

Nothing — for companies and for buyers alike. Contacts are open and there is no paid access. If paid services appear, they will be marked separately and the free listing will stay.

Sign up, press “Add company” and fill in the listing: what you do, contacts, catalog sections, photos. We review it, usually within one business day, and publish it. If your listing already exists, write to us from a contact shown on it and we will grant access.

Write to hello@makersew.com from an email, messenger or account shown on the listing or on the company website — that is how we know the owner is writing. Edits and removals are done within 24 hours.

The company’s registration number was checked against the state registry: the company exists, is active and works in the industry. “Confirmed by owner” means the owner confirmed the listing. Neither badge guarantees the quality of work. Owner accounts of a verified company become trusted: their edits are published without mandatory review.

We check registration by number and moderate listing content: other people’s photos, ads, dead contacts. We do not check quality, lead times or prices, take no part in deals and are not responsible for the parties’ agreements — see the Terms of use.

The personal number of a sole proprietor (IIN in Kazakhstan, PINFL in Uzbekistan, TIN in Kyrgyzstan) is personal data; by law we show it only with the owner’s consent, given by a checkbox in the account. A legal entity’s registration number is public information and is always shown.

Check the number in the state registry, ask for a sample and a contract, pay to the company account rather than a personal card, avoid full prepayment and visit the factory if you can. Report a suspicious listing to hello@makersew.com.

Every change to a listing — contacts, branches, sections, minimum order, description, captions, photos and video — is reviewed and appears on the site once approved, usually within a day. The exception is a trusted account: its changes go live immediately. An account becomes trusted automatically when it is registered with the company’s email — on the domain of its website, not gmail or similar — once that email is confirmed and the listing is published, and when the company receives the “Verified” badge; otherwise, write to us at hello@makersew.com.

On the sign-in page press “Get a sign-in link by email”. The link is valid for one hour and works once; you can set a new password with it.

In the listing editor — “Unpublish”: the listing disappears from the catalog, the data stays, and you can bring it back in one click. “Delete listing” erases it together with photos, with no recovery. The account is deleted in “Delete account”.
